I just came back from a short visit to Nerja the other day. I have updated my pages about restaurants & bars since I visited some new great places. Have have a look and please send me any tips if you have favorites I have left out.
In this blog I will try to help you with suggestions and ideas when you are planning your trip to Nerja or when you already are here.
Nerja is a wonderful place to spend your vacation. You can read more about Nerja and what to do, where to eat, which beaches are the best right here in this blog. If you miss something just let me know.
How to get to Nerja from Malaga airport:
Click here for time table for the autobus.
Taxi costs around 60-70€ and it takes around 1 hour, but always calculate for traffic. Here is one company that you can book online.
Here is a another one:
Where to stay:
Want to rent a house? Los Pinos number 3 is a wonderful option. Close to everything. Read more about Los Pinos further down in this very page.
Where to eat:
There are so much to choose between so I have made a special section about this here.
Where to make your shopping:
There are plenty of little shops around town. There are small supermarkets here and there in town and at the beach. A few specialized in English items and also German and other nationalities specialties (Nordic etc). There is a big one is called Supermercado Iranzo.
If you need gluten free products there is a big Spanish Supermarket called Mercadona which have many good products. They are all labeled "Sin Gluten".
You can find that many of the restaurants around Burriana Beach have free wifi for their customers. My favorites ones are H2O and Tropy-Sol. (which also serves the best coffee and chocolate cake in town)
The local hospital(Centro de salud) and emergency room is small but works fine. Don't forget your EU resident health card
There are plenty of pharmacies in town. And there is always one emergency pharmacy open during holidays/weekends.
I'm so excited about this BLOG.I hope this BLOG will help you find more information about wonderful Nerja at Costa del Sol in Spain. Also I hope to be able to help to plan your future Holidays in Spain. And also have first hand access information on how to rent Los Pinos number 3in Nerja for your holidays. Long term as well as short term.

Short description of Nerja and urbanizacion Los Pinos:
The Los Pinos residential apartments are located on either side of calle General Asensio Cabanillas in the Nueva Nerja area of town.
The apartments are spacious, there is a communal pool and a well laid out garden area.
Ideal for families with young children as it is not a busy area for traffic and the complex is enclosed.
It is only a few minutes walk to the Parador area and about 10 minutes to the nearest beach, Burriana.
It is, however, quite a steep descent to Burriana beach, and seems even steeper on the way back!
The centre of town, the Balcón de Europa, is about a 15 minute walk and on the way you’ll find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, particularly on calle Los Huertos.
A delightful development of pueblo style town houses, convenient to both the beach and the center of town. The setting is a quiet residential street and it provides an ideal setting to relax in its peaceful atmosphere yet is a pleasant and easy stroll to the centre of Nerja. All facilities are within easy reach and the beach is only five minutes away. There is a large swimming pool in the middle of the tropical gardens. The houses have open plan ground floor layouts through French windows, on to a small private terrace - which in turn leads through a gate onto the lawn and pool area.
Nerja is a beautiful former fishing village on the coast of Costa de Sol in the south of Spain.
It's surrounded of mountains and have several nice beaches and allot of restaurants.
Nerja is perfectly situated 50km from Malaga and 90km from Granada (which with the new highway takes less than an hour to reach). Technically you could go skiing in Sierra Nevada (or visit the Alhambra) in the morning and return for a late lunch at the beach.
The ambient is international but still keeps it's Spanish roots. In Nerja you have serveral posibilities to learn Spanish or if not its quite possible to get along just fine in english.
There are plenty of different Restaurants for EVERY taste and style.
