How & Why come to Nerja

Welcome!
In this blog I will try to help you with suggestions and ideas when you are planning your trip to Nerja or when you already are here.
Nerja is a wonderful place to spend your vacation. You can read more about Nerja and what to do, where to eat, which beaches are the best right here in this blog. If you miss something just let me know.

How to get to Nerja from Malaga airport:
Click here for time table for the autobus.
Taxi costs around 60-70€ and it takes around 1 hour, but always calculate for traffic. Here is one company that you can book online.
Here is a another one:

Where to stay:
Want to rent a house? Los Pinos number 3 is a wonderful option. Close to everything. Read more about Los Pinos further down in this very page.

If you want to stay in a hotel there are plenty of choices. From luxury hotel The Parador to normal 3-4 stars like Villa Flamenca.
There are plenty of nice hostels. One I have stayed in myself is Hostal Casa Mercedes.

Where to eat:
There are so much to choose between so I have made a special section about this here.

Where to make your shopping:
There are plenty of little shops around town. There are small supermarkets here and there in town and at the beach. A few specialized in English items and also German and other nationalities specialties (Nordic etc). There is a big one is called Supermercado Iranzo.
If you need gluten free products there is a big Spanish Supermarket called Mercadona which have many good products. They are all labeled "Sin Gluten".

Internet connection:
You can find that many of the restaurants around Burriana Beach have free wifi for their customers. My favorites ones are H2O and Tropy-Sol. (which also serves the best coffee and chocolate cake in town)

And there are also a few Internet Cafes around town.
For example Internet Cafe "Los Huertos"
on Calle Los Huertos 47.

Emergency:
The local hospital (Centro de salud)  and emergency room is small but works fine. Don't forget your EU resident health card
There are plenty of pharmacies in town. And there is always one emergency pharmacy open during holidays/weekends.
